Week 1: Victorious Blues!

You can see from our logo that blue and yellow are significant colours for Discovery Summer.

However, here at Radley, we have taken Discovery Summer's blue and yellow and started a colour war!

This Means WAR!

All staff and students are divided into the two colour teams and are given an appropriately coloured wrist-band to signify their allegiance.

Students earn points for their team through good behaviour, such as:

  • strong contribution to the social programme

  • support of other students

  • academic achievement

  • sporting success

  • or even victory in the evening programme.

However points can be deducted from a team at any time for an individual's disappointing behaviour.

After a competitve and nail-biting few days, it was finally revealed that the BLUE team were the victors (by the narrowest if margins!) of week 1!

The blue team celebrated together over dinner that was completed by fizzy drinks, special chocolates and fancy table cloths.

The poor yellows, with their bare-tables and regular school food, could only stare-on in envious disappointment. And to top it all off, they then had to clear the plates of the elated Blues away!

Teacher, Gillian, is not impressed with having to clear up after the Blues...

This bitter defeat has undoubtedly spurred the Yellows on this week; they have rallied together and fought back! The score, mid-way through week 2, is 154 points to the Yellows, to only 132 points to the Blues.

The Blues must work even harder over the next few days to retain their winning status, or else they will find themselves waiting on the Yellows on Wednesday.

Keep posted to hear the results of this week's colour WAR!
