Creative digital photography workshop

The main goal of the creative digital photography workshop was to foster creativity and talent by providing students with the opportunity to learn new things about digital photography. During the workshop the students had the opportunity to research and learn more about several creative photography techniques such as:

  • Photographing scenes through visible hand-held lenses, glass or plastic
  • Taking unfocused shots and creating semi-abstract photographs
  • Emphasizing reflections rather than the objects themselves
  • Playing with shadows
  • Creating illusions using forced perspective
  • Arranging compositions as if they were a beautiful still life painting
  • Colour select areas
  • Making a photography collage using masking tape
  • Adding photography cuttings to real life situations

But beyond all the fancy techniques the most important thing they learnt was to open their eyes and produce an unflinching record of what they see.

We hope you enjoy our small online photo exhibition!
